Unmoving

So often romanticized
the great misalignment
of what you want
and what you need.
But grossly unappreciated are the times,
when what you want is what you need-
and it lies well within arm’s reach,
but your useless arms with atrophied muscles
hang helplessly by your side.
Unmoving, no matter how hard you will them to move.
And you will them.
And you will them.
And you will them.
And they hang helplessly by your side-
Unmoving.
